We remember using the bathroom there, and you needed a key that was attached to a 2x4.
I went to the book sale there this year - CRAZY!!! I've never seen so many people in such a small place pushing and shoving each other! I did get some pretty good books for a pretty decent price. I think it was like $1.00 a pound (or something)
We spent a lot of time at this library. And a lot of time at the CARD CATALOG. They had really old yearbooks too and a cute kids' room. Out of everything that's abandoned downtown Newk (including the PNC Bank pictured at right), the library remains.
