To the VHS ladies, outstanding job, and all the accolades that go with winning the championship!! To the city officials who approved the manner of celebration with no prior notification to the citizens of the NewK, sorry, folks, you blew it!! Had they done what they did in the light of day, you would have had 100% enthusiastic participation, and little or no negative impact. Unfortunately, for all concerned, it shed a poor light on the whole aura of awesomeness and unduly alarmed folks who had no idea whatsoever what was going on (myself being one of them). I salute the mature young ladies for their monumental achievement and can only shake my head in disbelief at such infantile behavior on the part of our city leaders and emergency services personnel whose reckless antic that luckily didn't have dire consequences. 'Nuf said.
